Dr. Medge Owen accepted the 2nd place award in the Best Paper Category at the 2011 Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) Conference Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 16th in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Owen gave an oral presentation titled “Improving Obstetric and Neonatal Care in Ghana using a Multidisciplinary Approach and Continuous Quality Improvement” during the Saturday morning session Best Paper Presentation.

This original research came directly from Kybele’s ongoing program with the Ghana Health Service and Ridge Hospital in Accra, Ghana.  

Nearly 300 abstracts were submitted for acceptance to this year’s conference.
