IASP Awards Kybele $20000

The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP)  headquartered in Seattle, WA has recently awarded Kybele a grant totaling  $20,000.  The purpose of the IASP Initiative for Improving Education  grant is to fund travel and clinical training including pain education  for Kybele projects.

“It is with great pleasure that I am letting you know that the large multidisciplinary, international IASP Developing Countries Working Group (DCWG) has agreed to award Kybele $20,000 for the ongoing work described in your application…

…IASP is very pleased to continue this partnership with you for the upcoming year.  The work you are doing is obviously effective and valuable as seen in your results, with good long-term outcomes.  We appreciate your efforts especially in the field of pain.”
 – Michael Bond, MD, PhD, Chair, DCWG

Founded in 1973, IASP  brings together scientists, clinicians, healh care providers and policy  makers to stimulate and support the study of pain and to translate that  knowledge into improved pain relief worldwide.  Currently IASP has more than 6,500 members from 123 countries and in 82 chapters.

This is the third grant Kybele has received from the IASP.  We are overwhelmingly grateful for their support.
